University of Alkafeel  held an expanded meeting on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, President of the University, and attended by Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, the deans of the colleges, their assistants, heads of departments and branches, and a number of faculty members. During the meeting, the university president emphasized the commitment of the university to continuously developing its academic environment, noting that teamwork is the cornerstone of ongoing success.

     The meeting addressed several important topics : introducing  new academic specializations in a number of colleges, aligning with current needs and enhancing the academic standing. The advanced results achieved by the colleges in national rankings were also highlighted, reflecting the high level of scientific performance and adherence to established quality standards.

    For the scientific research, the president stressed the importance of supporting publication in reputable journals and fostering a research culture among faculty members through collaborative work and providing resources that contribute to raising the scientific output of the university .

     The meeting also discussed mechanisms for developing the educational process and emphasized the commitment to completing curricula in the established time limits . The importance of adopting modern teaching methods, including e-learning and blended learning, was also highlighted to ensure the continuity of lectures under all possible circumstances.

      The meeting also commended the General Secretariat of the Holy Abbas Shrine for its ongoing support of the university and its sponsorship of various academic and scientific activities, as well as its initiatives that have contributed to developing the educational environment and serving the community. Then , the preparations for organizing the Student Scientific Conference were tackled to show the development of the students' skills and enhance their participation in research activities.

    At the conclusion of the meeting, the floor was opened for discussion, allowing attendees to present proposals and ideas that contribute to developing academic and administrative work, thereby solidifying the university's goals and its continued progress.
