University Of Alkafeel
The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel held a memorial service in the “ Nakhla Hall” to commemorate the destruction of the graves of the Al-Baqi' Imams (peace be upon them) on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
The service was attended by the University President, Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, and the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, a number of deans, faculty members, and administrative staff.
The memorial service began with a recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by reciter. Ali Al-Zubaidi from Glorious Quran Institute , pertinent to Holy Al-Abbas Shrine. Then there was a religious lecture delivered by His Eminence Seid. Jaafar Al-Muruj, who discussed the significance of the holy shrines and the importance of preserving them as an integral part of Islamic identity.
In his lecture, Al-Muruj emphasized the necessity of confronting extremist ideology that targets holy sites, stressing the importance of spreading awareness and strengthening religious and humanitarian values in society. The calamity of Al-Baqi' remains a painful chapter in the conscience of Muslims, evoking sorrow, renewing feelings of loyalty to the Ahlalbayt (peace be upon them), and emphasizing the importance of adhering to their principles and following their righteous path.
