The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel organized an awareness lecture : "Emotional Impulsivity and Vulnerability of Students to Manipulation and Blackmail" on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at the College of Engineering Technology. The lecture was presented by Counsl. Kawthar Alawi Kamel.
The lecture addressed the concept of emotional impulsivity among students and how poor emotional control could lead to ill-considered decisions, making students vulnerable to exploitation and manipulation. It also highlighted various methods of blackmail, particularly through social media, and explained the warning signs that students should be aware of.
The lecture aimed to enhance their psychological awareness, develop their emotional regulation skills and conscious decision-making abilities, and educate them on methods of protection and appropriate action in case of any blackmail or manipulation attempt.
