The Departments of Cardiac Care Technologies and Cosmetic and Laser Technologies at the College of Medical and Health Technologies at University of Alkafeel organized a workshop : “First Aid and Emergencies” with the participation of a number of students and faculty members on Wednesday, 1 April 2026. In attendance were the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fadhil Ismail Sharad, the Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst.Prof. Dr. Sadiq Ghani Al-Mahna, and the Vice-Dean for Administrative Affairs, Asst.Prof. Dr. Amir Sadiq Yasser Al-Adhari.
The workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants in first aid, enabling them to effectively handle emergency situations, thus contributing to saving lives and minimizing complications until specialized medical care arrives.
The workshop included theoretical lectures and practical applications presented by Dr. Muntha Abdullah Rishan, Res.Asst. Ali Hassan Jassim, and Research Assistant Maitham Dhia Subhi. Training covered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), managing burns and wounds, and providing first aid for choking and epileptic seizures.
The workshop organizers emphasized the importance of rapid response and precise action in such situations, given their vital role in saving lives, and enhancing the health awareness and practical skills.
