The Dean of the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel  encourages its students to hold practical scientific events and lays emphasis to their organization to ensure maximum benefit for students and the community. On Saturday, 4 April 2026, second-year students conducted a specialized practical workshop on first aid, in the presence of the University President, Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan , the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst.Prof. Dr. Samer Makki Al-Hakkak, and the assistant deans, and the teaching staff.

     The workshop included five practical stations covering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking in adults and children, bleeding and its control, burns and their treatment, as well as managing acute chronic conditions: sudden hypoglycemia and sudden hypertension.

University President Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan  thanked the deanship and students for their efforts in organizing the workshop, praising their encouragement to participate in such practical scientific activities that contribute to developing students' skills and enhancing community benefit. Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Samer Makki Al-Hakkak, emphasized: Organizing these practical workshops supports early clinical thinking among students and qualifies them to become distinguished physicians in the future. We are committed to supporting all scientific activities that boost the practical and cognitive abilities of our students .

This workshop is part of the College of Medicine strategy to enhance the practical and applied skills of the students from an early age, serving the community and raising the efficiency of future medical professionals.
