University Of Alkafeel
University of Alkafeel hosted the second day of its Sixth Student Scientific Conference, featuring discussions of graduation research projects by pharmacy students with the participation of a select group of Iraqi universities. This event was part of the Second University Sustainability Week activities and took place on Sunday, 5 April 2026.
The sessions were attended by the University President, Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saad Mashkoor Waleed Al-Ziyadi, faculty members, professors, and academic experts.
The discussions resulted in the first-place award for pharmacy students from the University of Karbala, while the second-place award went to pharmacy students from Al-Mustansiriya University. Third place was shared by pharmacy students from both University of Alkafeel and Al-Mustansiriya University. The sessions featured presentations of advanced scientific research addressing contemporary topics in the pharmaceutical field. These presentations reflected a high level of scientific expertise and demonstrated the ability of the students to utilize their academic knowledge to find innovative solutions to health and pharmaceutical challenges.
Organizing these sessions stems from the commitment of University of Alkafeel to supporting scientific research, encouraging student creativity, and providing an academic platform for exchanging expertise among Iraqi universities. This, in turn, enhances the academic level of the students and elevates their scientific output.
