On Monday, 6 April 2026, the Computer Engineering Technology Department at the College of Engineering Technology, University of Alkafeel , conducts a general student awareness lecture : "Information Security." The lecture was delivered by Hussein Kadhim, a second-year student, and was attended by the Head of the Computer Engineering Technology Department, the Head of the Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation Department, a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
The lecture addressed the importance of information security and the necessity of raising awareness about data protection methods and maintaining information privacy in light of the rapid development of the digital environment.
The lecture also included a motivational competition on the topic of data security and information privacy, which contributed to enhancing interaction with the attendees and reinforcing the fundamental concepts related to information security among the students.
Asst.Prof.Dr. Ali Jassim Al-Amiri, Head of the Department, stated that this activity reflects the commitment of the university to supporting purposeful student initiatives, disseminating digital culture, and enhancing academic and community awareness of issues related to information security and data protection.
