The College of Dentistry at Al-Kafeel University organized a scientific lecture "From 2D to 3D: A New Era in Dental Diagnosis" as part of the Lifelong Learning Unit activities. The lecture was presented by Asst. Prof. Sarmad Mohammed Abdul Zahra on Monday, 6 April 2026.
The lecture aimed to introduce the most updated developments in dental diagnostic techniques, particularly the transition from two-dimensional to three-dimensional imaging and its impact on improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning. The lecture addressed the advancements in digital radiography techniques, highlighting the role of three-dimensional technologies in enhancing clinical diagnostic efficiency and providing more precise treatments.
The lecture recommended : adopting modern technologies in dental diagnosis and the promotion of 3D imaging in clinical practice, emphasizing the importance of developing the skills of students and faculty in using digital technologies and continuing to organize scientific events that keep pace with technological advancements.
