University of Alkafeel  participated in the events of the Third Scientific Conference on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Security, hosted by the University of Kufa under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Alaa Naji Al-Mawla, on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.

    The conference was organized by the CBRN Security and Safety Unit at the University of Kufa on the slogan : "CBRN Risk Management:  Duty, Responsibility, and Challenge," with broad participation from researchers and academics specializing in the fields of biological, chemical, and radiological security and safety.

     University of Alkafeel  was represented by an academic delegation : Asst. Prof.Dr. Jawad Kadhim Al-Shams, Head of the Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Security and Safety Unit; Dr. Ali Jabbar Al-Dhabawi, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department; and Dr. Ahlam Hussein Hassan. The delegation contributed to the conference activities with a select group of experts and specialists. The conference aims to highlight the importance of managing risks related to CBRN (Cybercrime, Nuclear, Radiological, and Nuclear) issues and to promote effective prevention , response mechanisms to the challenges facing academic and community institutions, and to facilitate the exchange of scientific and research expertise among participant as well.

      Such a participation underscores the commitment of the University of Alkafeel to strengthening its scientific presence and fostering collaboration with Iraqi universities, thereby supporting scientific research and reinforcing safety and security principles across various disciplines.
