As part of the activities of the Second Sustainability Week, the College of Dentistry at University of Alkafeel organized a scientific workshop : "Sustainable Dentistry," presented by Asst.Prof.Dr. Azal Hadi Yaqoub, with the participation of several faculty members, on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.
The workshop aimed to disseminate sustainability concepts in the field of dentistry and promote responsible environmental practices in health and educational institutions by highlighting the importance of reducing waste and using environmentally friendly materials in clinics and laboratories.
The workshop also emphasized the importance of using modern teaching methods and techniques to enhance the skills of participants in the field of dentistry. The workshop included a presentation of the most prominent modern methods that contribute to achieving sustainability in the health sector, emphasizing the need to instill environmental awareness among faculty and students and to continue holding scientific activities that support this approach.
