The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , in cooperation with the College of Science, organized an awareness lecture : " Role of University Promoting Citizenship Values of Students." The lecture targeted freshman students in the Department of Medical Physics and was held on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.
The lecture was presented by Asst. Lect. Zainab Habib Jaafar, who addressed the importance of the role the university takes to instill the citizenship values. She emphasized that the university institution is not limited to providing scientific knowledge but also contributes to developing their awareness and strengthening their national belonging.
She explained that strengthening citizenship values is achieved through a set of pillars, most notably the curriculum, adopting constructive dialogue methods, and positively utilizing social media, in addition to the pivotal role of university professors as influential role models in shaping students' behavior and attitudes. Moreover, there was an emphasis on the importance of cultivating a sense of responsibility among students by encouraging their positive interaction both within and outside the university, thus contributing to the development of a conscious generation capable of serving their community and nation.
Such a lecture is part of a series of awareness activities implemented by the university to promote educational and national values and build a university environment that supports awareness and social responsibility.
