The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy, organized an awareness lecture for freshman students : “Peaceful and Social Coexistence and Rejecting Extremist Ideologies” on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.
The lecture, presented by Asst.Lect. Haider Adnan Ghazi Shabaa, aimed to promote the values of tolerance and understanding in the society and to establish a culture of constructive dialogue and acceptance of others.
The lecture addressed the importance of peaceful coexistence in building stable and cohesive societies and the role of educational institutions in confronting extremist ideology by raising awareness and strengthening national belonging. It also highlighted the dangers of extremist ideas and their negative impact on community security.
The lecture emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts among various segments of society to mitigate these phenomena, stressing the importance of disseminating a culture of moderation and openness, and encouraging students to adopt human values that contribute to building a more secure and stable future.
