University of Alkafeel launched an awareness campaign to highlight the dangers of waste and its negative effects on the environment and public health, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness within the university community. The campaign included a range of activities and awareness messages that focused on explaining the damage caused by poor waste management, particularly regarding environmental pollution, the spread of diseases, and the negative impacts on natural resources. The campaign also called for adopting responsible environmental practices by reducing waste production and adhering to proper waste sorting and disposal methods.
Moreover , the campaign highlighted the importance of recycling and its role in reducing waste volume and conserving resources for the economic and environmental benefits it provides, which contribute to supporting the concepts of sustainability. This initiative comes to reflect the commitment of the University establishing the principles of social responsibility and building an aware generation with a positive environmental culture that contributes to protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development.
