As a strategy to reflect the academic excellence of its students, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the College of Medical and Health Technologies , University of Alkafeel , participated in the Student Projects Conference organized by the University of Kufa as part of the 2025-2026 academic year activities, under the supervision of Dr. Muntha Abdullah Rishan.
The department students presented a scientific paper : “Impact of Lifestyle Patterns and Insulin Resistance on Severity of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.” The students who participated were: Sadiqa Nawshad Ali, Zainab Musa Jawad, Suja Kifah Abdul-Razzaq, Zainab Muhammad Hussein, Maryam Aqeel Ibrahim, and Ali Hussein Ali Fadhil.
The research was distinguished by the quality of its scientific content, the originality of its concept, and its importance in the medical field, which gives it the space to gain the first position in the Medical and Health Sciences category among the participating projects from different universities . The research team was honored with a shield of creativity, certificates of appreciation, and a prize in recognition of their achievement, which reflects the outstanding academic level of the department students, enhances the presence of the University of Alkafeel in the academic forums, and underscores the importance of supporting the scientific applied research and encouraging creative student talent.
