The Follow-up and Evaluation Committee at the College of Medicine, University of Alkafeel , held its first meeting to discuss the operational mechanisms for program accreditation requirements according to NACAMC Area 4 standards. The meeting was chaired by Asst.Lect. Qusay Mohsen Kadhim and attended by committee members.
The meeting included a review of program accreditation requirements, the identification of evaluation mechanisms, the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among committee members, the identification of data and evidence sources, and the development of a work plan and timeline for implementing the required tasks.
Moreover , the importance of continuous and systematic evaluation of the academic program, including the curriculum, student performance, teaching and assessment methods, graduate outcomes, resources and infrastructure, and the opinions of students, faculty, and beneficiaries were discussed to boost the quality of medical education and fulfilling program accreditation requirements.
The committee emphasized the importance of activating its work systematically and beginning to generate supporting evidence and documentation for the accreditation standards, in addition to continuing to monitor and evaluate the curriculum, learning outcomes, and infrastructure in accordance with NACAMC standards.
