University Of Alkafeel
The Department of Psychological Guidance at University of Alkafeel continued its series of mourning gatherings as part of its program to commemorate the days of the holy month of Muharram. The gathering, held on Sunday,21 June 2026, was attended by a number of faculty members and staff.
The gathering began with a beautiful recitation from the Holy Quran by reciter Ali al-Zubaidi from the Institute of Glorious Quran pertinent to Holy Abbas Shrine.
The lecture was delivered by His Eminence Seid. Hassan al-Baaj, who discussed the life of Muslim ibn Aqeel (peace be upon him) and his role as the emissary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to Kufa. He highlighted key events in his blessed life and his courage, loyalty, and steadfastness to his principles.
The lecturer also addressed the circumstances preceding the martyrdom of Muslim ibn Aqil (peace be upon him) and the sacrifices he made in the cause of truth, emphasizing that his life serves as a school of sincerity, patience, and dedication to Islamic principles and values.
Such programmes come as a part of a series of mourning events organized by University of Alkafeel during the month of Muharram to commemorate the revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and to draw lessons and inspiration from his immortal uprising.
