As part of its comprehensive program to prepare for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, the Lifelong Learning Center at University of Alkafeel organized a training course on Sunday, 19 July 2026, in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society/Najaf Branch. The course, "Dealing with Emergency Situations," was attended by a number of university staff and student volunteers participating in the University of Alkafeel Mawkib .
The course aimed to qualify participants and raise their level of preparedness to deal with various emergency situations that medical and service teams may encounter during the pilgrimage. It was conducted under the supervision of specialized trainers from the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, contributing to enhancing their field competence and enabling them to perform their duties according to established standards in first aid and rapid response.
The course included theoretical and practical components covering the fundamentals of dealing with emergencies, first aid principles, and mechanisms for providing initial care to the injured. It also included field applications and realistic training scenarios to enhance their skills and qualify them to respond quickly and effectively to various emergency situations in performing their volunteer duties.
This training course is part of a series of training programs implemented by University of Alkafeel as part of its early preparations to serve pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during the Arba'een pilgrimage. It also falls within the plan of the university's plan to train its medical, ambulance, and volunteer staff, thereby enhancing the readiness of the university's procession to provide distinguished health and ambulance services. This reflects the university's community mission and its active contribution to serving pilgrims and ensuring the success of this blessed occasion.
