On Saturday morning, 8 August 2026, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel  welcomed Dr. Mithal Sabah Abdul Nabi, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England specializing in urology. Dr. Abdul Nabi visited Iraq from the United Kingdom to tour the facilities at the college , observe its educational and academic system, and gain insight into its experience in medical education.

    He was received by Asst. Prof.Dr. Samer Al-Hakkak, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Asst.Prof.Dr. Fatima Karim Al-Bakka, Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs. They bore him a company through the facilities and academic and educational departments at the college , where he was briefed on the available resources and equipment to support the educational process and medical training.

     Then there was a meeting between the visitor and the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali. During the meeting , the current state of medical education at the university , the opportunities for scientific and academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise in medical and specialized fields were all discussed in details .

    Dr. Mithal expressed his admiration for the scientific and academic level achieved by the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel , praising its advanced infrastructure, educational capabilities, and the efforts to develop and boost the standards of medical education.

    Such a visit is to strengthen the communication between academic institutions and Iraqi medical professionals abroad, and exchange the scientific expertise and experiences, which contributes to supporting the advancement of medical education and opening new horizons for academic and professional collaboration .
