The Department of University Psychological Guidance at University of Alkafeel  held a mourning gathering today, Sunday, 20 September 2026, to commemorate the martyrdom of Seida. Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The event took place at the College of Medicine,  Sheikh Al-Mufid Hall, attended by various college deans, faculty members, and staff.

The gathering commenced with a recitation of certain ayats from Glorious Quran by Dr. Muhannad Al-Mayali, Director of Glorious Quran Institute in Najaf (pertinent to the Scientific Complex of Glorious Quran at Holy Al-Abbas Shrine). Then there was a sermon delivered by Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Alwan Al-Nasrawi, who addressed the occasion by reflecting on the life of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), her status in Islam, and the exemplary model she represents in terms of knowledge, worship, and steadfastness in principles and values. The speaker addressed several religious and educational themes, highlighting the exalted status of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and her role in upholding Islamic values and principles. He also discussed the intellectual, spiritual, and social dimensions of her character, noting the exemplary model she provides for Muslim women regarding the assumption of responsibility and service to both faith and society.

    Furthermore, he touched upon her scholarship, eloquence, and the stances she took following the martyrdom of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family). He reviewed parts of her sermon, highlighting its religious and rhetorical significance, and emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from her life story to instill values such as faith, patience, altruism, and the defense of principles.

The memorial session concluded with elegiac recitations commemorating the martyrdom and historical tribulations of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), leaving the assembly in a profound state of solemn reflection and shared grief.
