On Monday, 21 September 2026, the University Psychological Guidance Department at University of Alkafeel, College of Technical Engineering, held an educational recommending lecture for second-year students : "Start Before You Feel Ready," presented by Counsl. Kawthar Allawi Kamil.
The lecture addressed the importance of taking the initiative to achieve goals by moving from mere thinking and planning to taking practical steps. It highlighted how waiting for ideal conditions or a sense of complete readiness can delay the commencement of tasks and decision-making.
The session also discussed key factors associated with hesitation, particularly the fear of failure, and their impact on taking initiative and developing skills. Furthermore, it emphasized the importance of boosting self-confidence and leveraging experience and continuous practice to build capabilities and achieve objectives.
This lecture is part of the psychological guidance and educational orientation programs at the college , which aims to support students and develop their skills, enabling them to handle the demands of academic life more effectively.
