On Saturday, 10 October 2026, the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel held an awareness lecture on breast cancer, covering its risks and methods for early detection, in collaboration with Amir Al-Mu'minin Hospital (peace be upon him) and the National Hospital for Oncology and Hematology. The event coincided with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The lecture was held under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, and supervised by the College of Pharmacy administration. It was presented by a group of specialist physicians and attended by a number of the university female staff members. The lecture addressed the importance of breast cancer awareness, outlined the associated risks, and emphasized the significance of early detection in improving treatment outcomes. It also aimed to promote health awareness and encourage women to prioritize regular screenings and monitor relevant health indicators.
