University of Alkafeel
A delegation of students from University of Alkafeel , volunteers dedicated to countering violent extremism that leads to terrorism, met with Hassan Al-Shammaa, head of the Counter-Extremism Department Section at the Najaf Governorate Office. The student delegation was accompanied during the visit by Asst.Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Obaidi, Director of the University Psychological Guidance Department and representative of University of Alkafeel on the sub-committee for countering violent extremism.
The meeting addressed key topics, including the vital role of university youth in raising awareness against extremist ideologies, promoting a culture of moderation and centrism, and rejecting violence. Discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation between the university, government entities, and volunteer groups to launch initiatives that contribute to consolidating social peace.
