University of Alkafeel
On 14 Jumada al-Ula 1448 AH, 26 October 2026 AD, University of Alkafeel commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the pure and righteous Seida. Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The university held a mourning gathering attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, along with faculty members and a large number of students. The event served as a tribute to her virtuous life and her enduring legacy in defending Islam and its noble values. The gathering featured a commemorative lecture delivered by the orator Sheikh. Jaafar al-Waeli, who explored various aspects of the life of Seida. al-Zahra (peace be upon her). He highlighted her role as an exemplary model of faith, patience, and steadfastness in upholding the truth, while shedding light on the injustices she endured, her exalted status among the Ahl al-Bayt (the family of the Prophet, peace be upon them), and the profound spiritual and ethical lessons embedded in her life story.
This event is part of University of Alkafeel ’s commitment to observing religious occasions, reflecting on the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and fostering religious, ethical, and cultural values in the university community. Such initiatives are to strengthen religious awareness and deepen the rapport of the students with the authentic Islamic principles.
