University of Alkafeel  hosted the second day of the Second Preliminary International Scientific Conference commemorating the millennium of the Najaf Seminary : "Scientific and Intellectual Contributions of the Najaf Seminary from the 9th to the 12th Century AH"—with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and academics.

The conference is held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine and is organized by the Sheikh Al-Tusi Center for Studies and Research, part of the Supreme Commission for the Revival of Heritage, in collaboration with the Al-Ameed Intellectual and Scientific Society, University of Alkafeel , the University of Kufa, and the Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) College (Najaf departments).

The program for the second day featured four research sessions dedicated to discussing scholarly papers across several fields: jurisprudence , “Fiqh” and its principles , “usul”, theology “kalam” and rational sciences, Quranic studies and the Arabic , and the study of “ hadith” ,prophetic traditions. A total of 18 research papers were presented, exploring various facets of the scientific and intellectual output of the Najaf Seminary. The conference concluded with a ceremony honoring the researchers, organizers, and participating entities, in recognition of their scholarly and organizational efforts and their contributions to the success of this academic event.

The conference was held as part of the commemorations marking the millennium of the founding of the Najaf Hawza. It coincided with the anniversary of the arrival of Sheikh Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Tusi—may his soul be sanctified—in the holy city in 448 AH. The event served to reaffirm the scholarly and civilizational stature of Najaf al-Ashraf and to highlight the contributions of its blessed seminary in enriching Islamic thought throughout the centuries.
