On Saturday, 31 October 2026, University of Alkafeel held a moment of silence and a Husseini mourning gathering in memory of the late Asst. Prof.Dr. Abdul-Sahib Saad Jubran. The event was attended by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Seid. Mustafa Murtada Al-Dhiaa Al-Din; the President of Al-Kafeel University, Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan; the Scientific Assistant, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali; college deans, academic and administrative staff, heads of scientific departments, university students, and the family and loved ones of the deceased.

The proceedings began with a moment of silence to honor the memory of the late professor, reflecting on his academic and administrative career and his contributions throughout his years of service at the university. He was recognized for his scholarly and research endeavors, his efforts in quality assurance and institutional performance, his compassionate nature, and the positive relationships he maintained with his colleagues and students.

     Then only then , a Husseini mourning gathering was held, which included a eulogy highlighting key milestones in his late life, his academic and humanitarian achievements, his exemplary character and kind demeanor, and his contributions to serving the pilgrims of Imam Al-Hussein and his brother, Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), through the Al-Kafeel University mowkib during religious pilgrimages. The memorial gathering concluded with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha,  dedicated to the soul of the deceased. We pray to Allah the Almighty to encompass him with His vast mercy, grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and bestow patience, solace, and comfort upon his family, relatives, colleagues, students, and all those who held him dear.
