On Saturday, 31 October 2026, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel hosted an academic lecture : "The Science of Memorable Lesson." Delivered by Dr. Ashtha’a Al-Sunaid, the session explored techniques for developing lectures in alignment with the principles of cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and modern learning theories.
The lecture focused on strategies to enhance student attention, improve the comprehension of information, and ensure its retention in memory. It also highlighted the importance of employing active learning strategies and continuous assessment to stimulate critical thinking and increase the effectiveness of the learning process.
Furthermore, the lecture addressed the necessity of shifting from rote instruction toward fostering understanding and engagement, as well as bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Such contributes to a more effective educational experience and improved learning outcomes.
