University of Alkafeel in collaboration with Samarra Heritage Center pertinent to Secretariat General of the Askari Shrine held on Monday morning , January 9, 2023 a commemoration festival on the anniversary of the second explosion of the shrine of the Two Askari Imams ,peace be upon them. The festival took the initiative with an Ayat from the Glorious Quran , then a word was delivered by Dr. Mushtaq Al-Asadi, responsible for the Samarra Heritage Center, and in the presence of the University chancellor , Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammad Shahid Al-Dahan, Asst. Prof.Dr. Nawal Aed Al-Mayali, Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Affairs, the faculties deans   , the teaching staff and a number of guests. Here comes Al-Asadi to touch on the tragedy of destroying the dome of the shrine , the stages of the brutal assault , the role of the honorable scholars and the scientific Hawza in preventing fighting and calling for quietude to avoid falling into dissention.

     Moreover, he tackles the goals of the center to promulgate the intellectual and moral heritage of the Samarra imams and its pillars flags and to highlight the cultural and historical depth of the honorable city. Then certain words of gratitude to the university are uttered for hosting such festivals that promote the identity of the Islamic and cultural heritage . To open the exhibition, all the attendees are guided to see : a collection of antiques, shapes  and valuables of the two purified shrines and some photographs.
