On Saturday, January 14 ,2023  under the aegis of University of Alkafeel rector  , Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammad Shahid Al-Dahan, the College of Dentistry conducted a scientific symposium : “ Graphene for the Management of Dental Caries and Periodontal Disease”

  Lectur. Ghasaq Mahmoud Aziz , in her lecture, showed a preliminary overview of graphene and its role in dental treatments and discussed the data and results of the most recently tackled articles in such a field. Moreover , graphene is one of the newly discovered materials with wide applications in different fields. A quick review of the chemical composition and properties of the material , its applications in dentistry, in particular in the treatment of tooth decay and gum disease were all illuminated  .
