Today, on Tuesday 25 July 2023, the sixth of Muharram 1445 AH, the university of Alkafeel commemorates the martyrdom anniversary of Abi Al-Fadhil Al-Abbas in the Faculty of Dentistry. At the head of the attendants were there the chancellor , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the vice-chancellor for scientific affairs  , Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali , the deans of faculties heads of departments and the personnel .

    The mourning session started with a verse from the Glorious Quran, recited by seid. Muhannad Al-Mayali, Director of Glorious Quran Institute - Al-Najaf / Holy Al-Abbas Shrine . Then His Eminence Sheikh Hafidh  Al-Dujaili ascended the pulpit to lecture the attendants on Al-Taff battle and its lesson in our lives as the message of the Imam is a message of a comprehensive human revolution. It is a battle between right and wrong and far from being a military battle as there is no military parity between 73 people and 30,000 soldiers !

    Whenever Abi Al-Fadhil Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is mentioned both sacrifice and altruism are to be mentioned as they stem from solid belief and staunch faith. In this regard, Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) he said: “My uncle Al-Abbas bin Ali was with sapient insight and  staunch faith and fights with his brother Al-Hussein very well and falls martyr .”

Altruism is one of the most prominent concepts and lessons drawn from the Al-Taff Battle , the divine legislation of altruism, with so many benefits for the individual and society . It is a moment of self-purification to increases solidarity and social cohesion and to save the society from the factors of division and isolation, as in His book : “ Work together for righteousness and piety not for sin and aggression and fear Allah , for He is severe in punishment.” (Al-Ma’idah: 2)

   It is noteworthy that the university of Alkafeel commemorates the martyrdoms of the immaculate imams, as the infallible said : “ May Allah have mercy on those who revive our remembrance” and sympathy to the Messenger of Him , may Allah bless him and his family.
