On Wednesday , July 10 2024, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at University of Alkafeel conducted a workshop on “Biotechnology and Its Effective Role in the Medical Field.” The workshop was presented by Asst. Lect. Amir Haider Razzaq. There was a comprehensive introduction to biotechnology and its types, with a focus on the importance of medical biotechnology in preventing diseases, diagnosing medical conditions, and facilitating treatment. The major role played by biotechnology in forensic medicine was also highlighted, with prominent cases in whichtechnologies demonstrated their importance in revealing facts.
The lecturer brought the workshop to an end recommending that it is of necessity to increase scientific knowledge and conduct practical research to enhance the benefit and development of these technologies to keep abreast of modern developments in this vital field.
