The Lifelong Learning Center at University of Alkafeel organized a training course : Safety and Security in Laboratories on Sunday 24/11/2024, and the course will last for three days. This course comes as a series of events that aim to enhance awareness of the necessary preventive measures to ensure the safety of workers in laboratories and medical institutions.

    The course was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sahib Saad Yahya, who addressed several vital topics, including protecting workers from diseases resulting from dangerous biological agents, and the importance of maintaining a safe work environment. The course also included instructions on how to prevent the spread of biological contaminants outside work sites, and control them through managing and assessingrisks in work environments.

    In a statement, Professor Dr. Nawal Aid Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs , stated : "The university seeks to provide continuous training programs that keep pace with the latest safety methods in laboratories, in a way that ensures the preservation of the health of workers and the surrounding environment. This course represents an important step towards enhancing the culture of safety and security in educational and medical institutions."

    There was a number of specialists and workers in medical and scientific laboratories from various disciplines, as the course aims to provide best practices and prevent potential risks in educational institutions.
