On Saturday, 23/11/2024, the College of Medical and Health Technologies at University of Alkafeel organized a seminar : “ Life Beyond Earth: Fact or Fiction?” , presented by Prof.Dr. Ali Khalaf Hassan.

    Such a seminar comes as  an activity in a series of scientific events to enhance knowledge in the fields of modern sciences, as Dr. Ali Khalaf discussed the latest research and studies related to the possibility of life outside planet Earth. He stressed in his speech that the possibility of life elsewhere than Earth should not be categorically rejected, despite the lack of tangible evidence to confirm this. He pointed out that the planets in our solar system, with the exception of Mars, may not be a suitable environment for the existence of life, but Mars remains a potential choice for the existence of conditions that may support the emergence of life.

    He also talked about the development of space science and its exploration, indicating that the rockets that are sent to other planets, and the flying saucers that are rumored to land from planets, represent part of the great progress that science is witnessing in the field of space travel. At the end of the episode, he pointed out that the near future may hold the answers that humans have long wondered about life on other planets, and the topic in question has become closer to reality than it was in the past.
