Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, President of University of Alkafeel , the College of Medical and Health Technologies, in cooperation with the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation , organized a welcoming forum for new Freshman Students , coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

     The gathering was held on Sunday, 4 January 2026, in an atmosphere that combined spiritual and cultural celebration. The program began with a blessed recitation from Glorious Quran.

     The Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation , Asst.Prof. Dr.  Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, delivered a welcoming speech for the new students. He highlighted the importance of this stage in shaping their academic character and developing their professional skills, emphasizing the role of psychological guidance in supporting and motivating students to achieve academic excellence.

    The activities of the gathering included poetry by students to  express human and ethical values inspired by the life of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him).

      There was also an interactive cultural competition that encouraged student participation and the development of their general knowledge, while fostering a spirit of cooperation and positive competition among them. The competition was met with great enthusiasm from the attendees.

    As part of the celebration, the college honored students with the name "Ali," in honor of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), recognizing the symbolic meaning of this name and instilling a sense of belonging and loyalty in the students.

      This activity is part of the efforts the University of Alkafeel shows to provide a stimulating and encouraging learning environment that helps students integrate into university life and promotes ethical values and academic discipline, thus contributing to the development of competent health and technical professionals capable of developing the society and improving the health and technological landscape in the country.
