On Monday, 5 January 2026, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel hosted Professor Mahdi Saeed from the University of Michigan, USA, to deliver a specialized scientific lecture on medical education and curriculum updating . The lecture was part of the efforts the college shows to develop its educational curricula and focused on the latest global trends in medical education : enhancing student participation in the educational process, ensuring quality, linking educational outcomes with the community needs, and promoting integration between theoretical and practical aspects. The lecture also addressed the role of Professor Mahdi Saeed as a member of the curriculum committee at the college .
The lecture recommended leveraging international expertise in developing medical curricula, encouraging student engagement in academic programs, supporting the integration of theoretical education and practical training, and continuing to hold scientific activities that contribute to raising the quality of medical education.
