In line with the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Alkafeel, in collaboration with the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Department, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department and the Quality and Academic Performance Department , organized a workshop under the supervision of Lifelong Learning Center : "Implementation of National Program Standards for Medical and HealthTechnologies" on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The workshop was attended by academic figures in higher education, including the esteemed rector of the University, Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali , department heads and deans from various universities and colleges.

   The workshop commenced with the recitation of Quranic verses, followed by a standing for to the martyrs of Iraq, and the national anthem. Dr. Fadhel Ismail Sharad, the dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, delivered a welcoming speech reaffirming the collegecommitment to excellence and the implementation of national program standards. He highlighted the university efforts to achieve significant progress in all accreditation criteria.

    Among the workshop presenters were Asst. Prof. Dr. Shakiria Shdhhan Al-Akeeli, Head of National Accreditation for Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technologies, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hura Nateeq, National Council Accreditation Coordinator for Programs of Health and Medical Technologies. The discussions at the workshop included strategic plans, executive plans , theoretical and practical aspects of self-assessment and the application of national standards.

Emphasis was placed on student and faculty standards, community service, and the quality criterion for accreditation. This workshop marks a significant step towards achieving excellence and improving the quality of higher education, enhancing leadership and competitiveness for universities and colleges in implementing national program standards
