Under the direction of his eminence the Legal Custodian of Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Seid. Ahmed Al-Safi , may his glory last, University of Alkafeel organized its eleventh annual ceremony to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, seida. Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The ceremony also showed the honoring of girl students who committed to wearing the abaya during university hours, which reveals the adherence of the university to educational values and the Islamic approach.

    The ceremony was held on Tuesday, 12/24/2024, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Moussawi, Head of the Teaching and Higher Education Commission at Holy AbbasShrine, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, university of Alkafeel chancellor , a number of college deans , department heads and girl students.

    The event began with a fragrant recitation from Glorious Quran by the reciter. Ali Al-Zubaidi, from the Holy Quran Institute , pertinent to Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in Najaf, then there was a recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq.

    Sheikh. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at the University, delivered a speech on this occasion in which he said: "For 11 years, University of Alkafeel , under the generous patronage of his eminence the legal custodian of Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, has been honoring our girl students who are committed to wearing the abaya during university hours. This honor embodies a supreme educational value and enhances the approach established by Lady. Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). We see the impact of this honor clearly in the increasing number of the honored girl students year after year."The ceremony witnessed the honoring of about 600 girl students from various colleges in an atmosphere of spirituality and appreciation.

    In the event there were a chanting and supplications segment presented by Sheikh. Abdullah Al-Dajili, during which he discussed the status of seida. Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and her role in Islam, drawing lessons and morals from her life. One of the honored students expressed her pride in wearing the abaya, noting that it represents an integral part of the values on which she was raised. She added that the abaya is not an obstacle in practical life, but rather a source of pride and honor, which emulates the example of the Lady of the Worlds in adhering to her principles despite the challenges. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of gifts and abayas to the honored students by the university presidency, amidst an atmosphere of joy and happiness. Through this annual celebration, University of Alkafeel confirms its adherence to Islamic values and strengthens the moral identity among its students to run in line with the approach of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as a model to trace .
