The College of Pharmacy at the University of Alkafeel, in collaboration with the Guidance and Educational Orientation Unit, organized an educational symposium on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, entitled "Risks of Cyber Extortion and Prevention Methods." Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussam Ali Al-Obaidi, Head of the Guidance and Educational Orientation , delivered a comprehensive awareness presentation on the dangers of excessive immersion in the digital world without sufficient awareness of technologies.

     Such an academic event tends to addressed the definition, causes, and consequences of electronic extortion on individuals and society. However , some tips and guidance to avoid falling victim to this prevalent cybercrime were discussed . The symposium provided an opportunity to disseminate the acts of awareness between students and faculty members on the importance of safe online behavior, vigilance, and prevention.
