On Wednesday, April 24, 2024 the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the University of Alkafeel organized a scientific lecture on "Breast Cancer." As part of its continuous efforts to enhance health awareness and educate the public on the common diseases. The lecture was delivered in the Pathology Laboratory in the presence of faculty members. Both Prof. Ali Abdul Razzaq Al-Saegh and Asst. Prof. Mohammed Redha Al-Sharifi provided a comprehensive overview of the importance of awareness of breast cancer and its significant impact on public health.

    During the lecture, the nature of the disease was defined, where breast cells begin to grow abnormally, forming tumors. Emphasis was placed on the importance of addressing these tumors, as their untreated proliferation can spread throughout the body and cause serious health issues. Furthermore, the importance of prevention and early detection , the latest advancements in its treatment and recent research were all discussed to develop effective therapies to deal with breast cancer.
