On Monday, 10/28/2024, the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel organized a scientific seminar : "Disorders of fluids and electrolytes", presented by Professor Dr. Mustafa Ghazi Saloum, Head of the Department of Drugs and Toxicology at the College, in Sheikh Al-Balaghi Hall.
The seminar focused on clarifying the impact of electrolyte disorders on various pathological processes. Dr. Mustafa Ghazi explained that the causes and severity of electrolyte disorders vary according to the type of affected electrolyte, which is reflected in treatment methods and potential therapeutic outcomes. He pointed out that these disorders may contribute significantly to many diseases and require accurate diagnosis and therapeutic interventions that are appropriate for each patient's condition.
This seminar aims to enhance the scientific knowledge of the college teaching staff about the importance of electrolytes and their vital role in the body and to shed light on how to deal with their disorders medically correctly.
