One of the commitments of the University is the importance of the quality of both of teaching and learning, the Lifelong Learning Centre at University of Alkafeel organized a lecture on Saturday, 2/11/2024, on "Teaching and Learning Strategies". This valuable course was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Iyad Sahib Hammadi.

    The course began with a comprehensive definition of the concept of strategy, teaching and learning, followed by a discussion of the parameters that are to be followed in designing and implementing educational strategies. The focus was on understanding the difference between teaching and learning and the methods available to achieve each of them in the best possible way.

    There should be an overview over the development of educational strategies from traditional to modern models, with a focus on active, electronic and blended strategies. The learning axis was also discussed and methods were presented that suit different learner styles.

    The lecture was concluded by highlighting the importance of self-learning as an essential step in the learning journey, in line with the nature of the study materials, the needs of students and the capabilities available in the college or university.

    These courses shows the efforts of the university to enhance the level of educational awareness of faculty members and improve the learning experience for students, and reflect its commitment to developing and adopting the best educational practices.
