The College of Engineering Technology at University of Alkafeel organized a lecture : "The Role of Engineers in Developing Green Technologies" on Monday, 25/11/2024, to raise awareness among students and the academic community about the importance of engineering innovations in the field of environmental sustainability.

The lecture was delivered by Asst.Lect. Shahd Ahmed Al-Sharifi, to address the vital role of the engineers in developing technologies that contribute to reducing negative environmental impacts and enhancing energy efficiency.

The lecture focused on introducing participants to the concept of green technologies and their impact on improving the environment and industry, while highlighting engineering innovations that contribute to reducing carbon emissions, supporting renewable energies, the role of engineering in developing renewable energies, carbon emission reduction technologies, and examples of engineering projects that contribute to reducing environmental pollution and enhancing energy sustainability.

The lecture concluded by emphasizing the need to enhance engineering education in the fields of environmental sustainability and encouraging students to innovate in the field of green technologies. Participants also recommended increasing practical activities and joint projects to enhance creative thinking among young engineers in this important field.
