As part of its ongoing cultural and scientific activities, the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel organized a distinguished discussion panel : "Health Insights in Road of Eloquence, Nahj Al-Balagha". The event was held in Al-Balaghy Hall on Monday, 12/30/2024.

    The discussion panel was presented by Asst. Prof.Dr. Salem Fayez Kadhim, who addressed a distinctive topic that bridges educational and moral values ,  derived from "Nahj Al-Balagha",  and modern health concepts.

    The panel aims to shed light on the educational and health aspects mentioned in "Nahj Al-Balaghy ", which is a collection of sermons, letters and wisdom written by Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him). Although "Nahj Al-Balagha" does not directly address the topic of medicine, it contains moral and educational insights that focus on: the importance of moderation in food, the balance between rest and activity, patience and endurance in the face of illness.

    In the lecture, Dr. Salem Fayez Kadhim pointed out that these principles are in harmony with modern medical concepts that enhance the importance of prevention and care for physical and mental health.

    Such an event falls within the remit of the efforts to enhance the health awareness among students and faculty members, and connecting human and ethical values with to daily life practices. There was a positive interaction from the attendees who enriched the discussion with their inquiries. The session concluded with thanks and appreciation to Dr. Salem Fayez Kadhim for his valuable lecture, stressing the importance of continuing to organize such events that develop the harmony between the humanities and medical sciences.
