As part of its efforts to enhance educational orientation and psychological guidance , the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , in collaboration with the College of Dentistry, organized a guidance lecture : "Implications of Modern Technologies on Behavior and Social Reality".

     The lecture was presented by Asst. Prof.Dr. Hussam Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation , on Monday 12/30/2024, targeting the freshmen students in the College of Dentistry.

    The impact of modern technologies and social media on social behavior and academic achievement was thoroughly discussed . In the lecture, Dr. Al-Obaidi stressed the importance of effective time management, warning against the dangers of excessive use of social media, which may contribute to increasing anxiety and psychological instability, which negatively affects the academic performance. The lecture serves to heighten the awareness of the students of the importance of balancing the use of technology and their academic duties, and to encourage them to invest time in developing their skills and achieving their academic goals. Such an event is part of a series of educational activities through which the university of Alkafeel seeks to achieve a supportive educational and integratedenvironment for students.
