Under the patronage of the President of Alkafeel University, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the College of Pharmacy organized the first graduates forum on Monday, January 6, 2025, as part of the activities of the sixth international scientific conference of the university. The forum witnessed the attendance of an elite group of international and local academics , representatives of the Najaf Health Department, a number of graduates of the college and its professors.
The event began with the recitation of ayats from Glorius Quran and Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, then the national anthem and the anthem of pride were played with an atmosphere of pride and loyalty to the homeland and science.
The forum included distinguished scientific sessions, during which Professor Dr. Muhammad Dakhil Al-Rikabi and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hashem Al-Rifai reviewed the latest developments in the field of pharmacy. A special pavilion was also organized for pharmaceutical companies specialized in the manufacture of medicines, which displayed their products in the college, and holding a charity bazaar that included many handmade products, local foods, scientific and cultural books, and an art exhibition for the student to show their productions in collaboration with the Al-Ain Charitable Foundation, which contributes to stimulating human values and community assistance.
Asst. Prof.Dr. Saad Mashkoor Walid, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, indicated in a statement that this forum is an opportunity for communication between graduates of the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel and graduates of other colleges, and aims to honor distinguished pharmacists and graduates of previous batches to motivate them to achieve more professional and scientific achievements. He stressed that the university seeks to periodically hold scientific conferences to enhance scientific research and develop the educational process.
In a speech delivered by pharmacist Muhammad Baqir Majid, one of the college graduates, he said:
"A graduate of University of Alkafeel is not just a degree holder, but a bearer of a message of knowledge, service and humanity to society."
For his part, Asst.Prof. Dr.Ali Ahmed Al-Mayali, vice-dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, said: “The College of Pharmacy Alumni Forum represents an important step towards strengthening the ties between the college and its graduates, and creating opportunities for academic and professional collaboration . We are always keen to support our graduates and provide platforms that allow them to exchange experiences and knowledge, which positively reflects on the development of the pharmaceutical sector in Iraq. This forum is part of the comprehensive vision of the university that aims to enable students and graduates to face the challenges of the labor market with confidence and high efficiency.”
The participating students expressed their appreciation for these events that provide an opportunity to interact with creative works and also academic studies, stressing the importance of such activities in consolidating the spirit of collaboration and community participation. Here the University of Alkafeel confirms its continuation in organizing scientific and humanitarian activities that contribute to building a more aware and advanced society.
