University of Alkafeel witnessed, on Tuesday morning, 7/1/2025, a launch of the activities of the Sixth International Scientific Conference with the participation of an elite group of academics and researchers from international , regional and local universities.The opening session began with the recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran, the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah came in memory of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq,  then the national anthem and the "Al-Iba", pride, anthem.

   In the opening speech, Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, director of the Legal Custodian Office at Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, welcomed the attendees, praising the pivotal role of the conference in promoting scientific research. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was represented by Prof.Dr. Alaa Al-Mawla, chancellor of University of Kufa, while the Governor of Najaf, Eng. Youssef Kanawi, delivered a speech on behalf of the governorate. The conference was also attended by Dr. Hussein Al-Issawi, Chairman of the Najaf Governorate Council, and Mr. Issa Al-Khorasan, Secretary-General of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine. Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, University of Alkafeel chancellor , delivered a welcoming speech in which he stressed the importance of the conference in enhancing scientific collaboration and exchanging academic expertise among researchers from various disciplines.

   The conference, which lasts for two days, began with an opening lecture by Dr. Zaid Al-Kadhimi from the University of Alabama, and includes the presentation and discussion of a number of scientific research papers in five main axes.

Conference Axes:

Axis One: 7 sessions on engineering sciences .

Axis Two: 10 sessions on medical sciences .

Axis Three: 3 sessions on Dentistry.

Axis Four: 5 sessions on pharmaceutical sciences .

Axis Five: 16 sessions on various sciences.

    It is worth noting that the conference aims to buttress the scientific research process , reinforce academic collaboration at the international and local levels, and focus on discussing the latest scientific research and innovations.
