In line with the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week, the University of Alkafeel chancellor , Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, received a delegation of undersecretaries of ministries, university chancellors , deans and university professors from the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday, January 17, 2025.

    The meeting was also attended by Prof.Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Moussawi, Head of Teaching and Higher Education Commission at the Holy  Al-Abbas Shrine, seid. Adnan Al-Moosawi , Member of the Administration Board of Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jash'ami, chancellor of Al-Ameed University, Prof.Dr.Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs at University of Alkafeel , college deans, their assistants, faculty members and university personnel .

    The delegation accompanied the chancellor of the University on a tour of the university facilities : buildings, gardens, classrooms, and laboratories, to fathom the development at the university and the role of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in these efforts .

    In a statement, Dr. Saeed Habeeba, vice-secretary-general of the Ministry of Education and Head of its Institute, said: “I am very happy to come to the university today, and I am fortunate with the great progress here, both in terms of physical spaces and in terms of educational ones and specializations available in this university. The future of Iraq will have a very positive and good impact. We hope that the interest in relations between Iranian and Iraqi universities will lead to achieving more scientific collaboration and cultural exchange."

    The essential goal of this week was to reach official agreements on student exchange and enhance collaboration between universities to achieve scientific development. Al-Kafeel University believes that diversity in scientific specializations contributes greatly to the cross-fertilization of sciences, which enhances its position among its counterparts in educational and pedagogical institutions. The university also always seeks to keep pace with the latest scientific developments in various fields, and to establish advanced scientific research teams. In this regard, Prof.Dr. Abbas Al-Moussawi, Head of the Teaching and Higher Education Commission at Holy Al-AbbasShrine, stressed that these scientific gatherings provide educational institutions with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, and to keep pace with current scientific challenges. He also pointed out that the scientific research resulting from these events will be published in international scientific journals soon, Allah willing.
