The Department of Psychological Guidance and EducationalOrientation at the university, in collaboration with the College of Medicine, organized two guidance lectures for first-stage students : "Rules for Setting Goals", by Asst.Lect. Nour Maitham Abbas on Saturday 1/2/2025.
The lecture addressed the general rules and methods of setting long- and short-term goals and planning methods to achieve these goals. Al-Hakim cited a noble ayat : "And He has subjected to you all that is on earth" to confirm that every goal is achievable, if planned properly.
She explained that man was not created in vain, but to achieve goals and reach ends. She also pointed out that planning alone is not enough to achieve goals, but rather requires continuous effort. She focused on the importance of the youth stage in achieving goals, as it is a golden stage characterized by less responsibilities and renewed physical energy, which contributes to enhancing positive motivation and their productive capabilities.
