Workshop on How to Keep Your Electronic Life Safe in Age of Artificial Intelligence ?

University of Alkafeel held a workshop : "How to Keep Your Electronic Life Safe in  Age of Artificial Intelligence ? ", delivered by Asst.Prof.Dr. Wissam Ali Hussein Al-Khazai, on Monday 2/17/2025, on the margins of the Fourth Annual Career Fair and the First Annual Sustainability Fair, which was held under the supervision of the Al-Kafeel Center for Information Technology and the Department of Information Technology, in cooperation with the College of Technical Engineering.

     The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students, academics and attendees of the importance of cybersecurity and the role of artificial intelligence technologies in protecting personal data. 

Its topics are as follows :

- Defining the concept of artificial intelligence and its types.

- Highlighting the features of artificial intelligence and its role in supporting cybersecurity.

- Explaining the mechanisms of integration between artificial intelligence and cybersecurity technologies.

- Reviewing the latest technologies used in protecting electronic data.

    Dr.Al-Khazai stressed the importance of keeping pace with technical developments, noting that the labor market requires students to possess modern skills that enable them to compete. He also stressed the need for continuous self-development to keep abreast of the rapid updates in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

    The workshop witnessed great interaction from students and academics, as many ideas related to cybersecurity were discussed, and the participants expressed their benefit from the content provided.

 

    More into its importance , the Director of the Information Technology Department at University of Alkafeel , Asst.Prof.Dr. Dr. Ali Abdul Zahra, stressed that the university seeks to provide its students with the knowledge and skills that qualify them to face the challenges of the digital age, noting that such workshops enhance the culture of digital security in the academic community. The workshop concluded by thanking the lecturer and attendees for their interaction, stressing the importance of continuing to organize events that contribute to developing digital skills and enhancing cyber awareness.
