Basic Course in Medical Education to Train Teaching Staff Members to Draw Curtains

Under the auspices of the respected University of Alkafeel chancellor , the Faculty of Medicine drew the curtains on the basic course in medical education, “Adult Learning” lasted for two days, with five educational units for eight hours and devoted to teaching staff members ;  instructors and researchers at the university, on Tuesday morning 2 May 2023.

    Prof. Dr. Hilal Al-Saffar, adviser at the British Royal College, London, Iraq and Responsible for Medical Education and Modern Teaching Methods, said: The course axes for the second day pay much heed on writing the educational objectives for each instructional session, whether it is long lectures, clinical training, or a laboratory session, and the second section is how to prepare exam questions and emulate new methods and concepts for testing students . Dr. Al-Saffar lays great emphasis on the continuity of advanced courses and workshops on various modern concepts of medical education to achieve high quality of the outputs of this university.

   In this regard, The instructor, Dr. Bassim Nazir said: “ The course axes revolve around the educational goals, and the other axis is how to prepare the material of the tests from the curricula of modern medical colleges and the effect of preparing a good test on the level of students learning  with the practical application of educational goals stating . There were five volunteers from the College of Medicine within the audience.

The course aimed at developing the efficiency of the teaching staff members in the colleges of the medical group and acquainting them with the educational curricula and modern teaching and evaluation methods, in a way that secures the achievement of the desired outcomes and international accreditation.

It is noteworthy that the course gives the participant a certificate of participation from the Royal college of physicians/London-Iraq members and fellows network .
