On Monday, 23 February 2026, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel held the research papers discussions of fourth-year medical students. The discussions were attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Maki Al-Hakak, Dean of the College of Medicine, and his deputies for scientific and administrative affairs. This important scientific step embodies the college mission to prepare physician-researchers capable of critical thinking and effective scientific contribution.
These discussions were the result of a comprehensive curriculum that began in the first two years with the teaching of the fundamentals of scientific writing. The third year focused on research methodology and techniques, culminating in the fourth year with the presentation of sound and distinguished scientific research papers that reflect clear academic maturity.
The Dean noted that this step is a significant achievement for the college and a practical embodiment of its philosophy of developing physicians whose role extends beyond clinical practice to include the production of knowledge and the advancement of healthcare. The he concluded by saying that this achievement reflects the pride of the college in its students and the reaping of the fruits of a well-established academic vision, which stresses the continued support of the college for scientific research and enhances the capabilities of its students.
